      exhibition text
In thoughts are just clouds, important clouds, Hui explores the quiet complexities of self-care as both a personal ritual and a site of internal negotiation. Her paintings chart the subtle hesitations that shape her daily life-moments caught between rest and productivity, discipline and indulgence, tenderness and self-critique.

Through a distinctively playful yet introspective visual language, Hui transforms these fleeting tensions into vivid compositions that balance humour with reflection. Working across paint and digital media, she employs colour, texture, and form to give shape to the intangible processes of thought and feeling, suggesting that care itself is an evolving, imperfect practice.
